Kalamalka Garden is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx Nation.

School Tours

School Tour Overview

Students will learn the Syilx background of the land where the garden is located.  Storytelling and teaching of the Syilx Okanagan captikʷł of the Four Food Chiefs will inspire and enthrall students of all ages as they hear stories brought down from generation to generation as a gift from K’ulenc’uten to help the Syilx survive on the land.

Students will have the opportunity to view how plants in the garden are used to make all sorts of products including food, jewelry, gifts and medicines.

Donation:
Help the garden continue to grow by providing a donation. Donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt.


All proceeds from the Garden Tours are used for operations.
